Meet Our Leadership
Tracy Shaddix Student Minister/
Outreach Leader
"I was born and raised within 2 miles of Antioch. I attended here some as a teenager but I was already married and in my 20’s when we joined here. Jennifer and I were married August 28, 1999 and God blessed us with our daughter, Kinleigh, on September 10, 2004. I started serving as a Senior High Boys Sunday School teacher a few years after we joined, latter on I was a co-teacher for the College & Career class. I have served as a trustee here at Antioch as well as a committee member multiple times and worked in other areas when needed such as VBS and Awanas. In 2014 I was ordained as a deacon and served as the chairman of the deacon body in 2017 – 2018. I started teaching a young married Sunday school class in 2017 and continue in that role today, we have seen so much growth in that class over the years! I have been full time as the Student Minister & Outreach Leader here at Antioch Since August 3, 2020.
My vision for our student ministry is to take the gospel outside of the walls of our church and into our community. We are currently involved in many community service projects with groups like Oxford Police Dept. and helping many of our church members around their homes with any projects they need completed. I truly feel that having a heart to serve others and learning to sacrifice their time as a teenager is crucial for them for their growth as a Christian. I also believe in getting our students plugged in to serve within our church . There are so many needs for people that are willing to serve here at Antioch. There’s no age limit on when we can start serving Christ!
Please pray for our youth daily because the world these kids are navigating through is far more treacherous than anything most of us adults had to deal with when we were growing up. I’m a blessed man to be where I’m at, doing something that has so much value for Christ. My life has so much purpose now and I truly could not imagine myself doing anything else in life. To say that I love what I do would be an understatement!"
